Good news for those who love warm weather: from tomorrow you can indulge yourself, with temperatures in the 20 degrees. On Tuesday it can even get tropical, with temperatures of around 30 degrees. That is unusually high for the time of year.
Today it is not really great yet. There are high clouds throughout the country, with occasional room for the sun. Some drizzle may still fall in the north of the country. Tomorrow the temperatures will rise: at the end of the afternoon the sun will rise and it will be about 22 or 23 degrees in Limburg, and 19 or 20 degrees in the rest of the country.
If it gets really hot on Monday and Tuesday, it will even be beach weather. On Monday, the temperature will already reach 27, 28 degrees. In Limburg and Brabant, the 30 degrees can already be reached by then.
Even over 30
That temperature will also come to the rest of the country on Tuesday. In the extreme northwest it will be about 27 degrees and in the Randstad the temperature will remain at 28 or 29 degrees, Leander de Wit of Buienradar expects. In the east and in Limburg it can even reach a few degrees above 30 degrees.
These are temperatures that are ‘unusually high’ for the time of year. “It is then about 10 to 12 degrees warmer than normal. It is really super hot before mid-September.”
After Wednesday ‘normal’
After Wednesday it will quickly go downhill. That is to say, the temperatures are back to normal for the time of year. “That feels like a huge leap down.”
De Wit does not dare to say much about the period after Wednesday. It doesn’t look like the extreme temperatures will return anytime soon, but it will be around 20 degrees. Incidentally, it remains sunny.
