Gouwenaars can have their favorite burgers or fries delivered at home via the so-called McDelivery, from the location of the fast food chain at Goudse Poort. People from Alphen order their meal at McDonald’s on Rijnplein.
Not only McDonald’s is affiliated with Uber Eats. In Alphen aan den Rijn, Alfreds, Cafetaria Atlas or Bagels & Beans now also have their food delivered to the door via the platform. Gouwenaars can order meals via the Uber Eats app at, for example, Belvedère, New York Pizza or Casa Chow.
Delivery area
Uber Eats mainly delivers around the center of Alphen aan den Rijn. It is possible that an address is just outside the delivery area. The size of the delivery area in Gouda is not known. According to platform Emerce, Uber Eats has chosen Alphen aan den Rijn and Gouda based on “data that shows that there is a lot of interest in the delivery app”.
The platform has emerged as a serious competitor of Thuisbezorgd. “We are also explicitly looking at smaller places in the shadow of big cities,” Aukeline Tolman, who is at the helm of Uber Eats Netherlands, told AD earlier.
