The Belgian government strongly discourages Dutch people from South and North Holland and Utrecht from traveling to Belgium. Our southern neighbors have designated these three provinces as red zones.
Travelers from the Netherlands, who go to Belgium for a necessary trip, must have themselves tested in Belgium for a stay longer than 48 hours. They must also go into self-quarantine with friends, family or in a hotel for fourteen days or for the duration of the stay.
That quarantine may be broken for the necessary part of the trip, such as a business meeting or funeral.
Until recently, an orange travel advice only applied to Antwerp and Brussels and the surrounding area. As in the provinces of Liège and Walloon Brabant, the number of new infections is still high there. Dutch people returning from these areas are advised to go into home quarantine for ten days.
