“A lot of different emotions go through my mind. I can’t describe it”, said one of the singers from the group. The girl group was not completely on stage, because Demi has tested positive for the corona virus. The singer is allowed to participate in the international final.
The other finalists were the duo Janae and Jacky and the boys Thimo, Teddy, Thijs and Tyrone from boy band T-SQUARE.
In addition to Demi, solo singer Robin was also tested positive for corona, which meant that her act could not continue. Jury member Emma Heesters was also not allowed to be present at the recordings. Someone in her environment has been infected with the virus. “Although she herself has no complaints, we and Emma naturally take our responsibility and she stays at home as a precaution”, the organization writes.
Presenter and singer Fenna Ramos has replaced Heesters. The jury also consisted of Duncan Laurence and Ronnie Flex. The final was hosted by Romy Monteiro and Buddy Vedder.
Although there will be no travel to the international final in Poland at the end of November, the final will continue as usual.
