Renault will come to the Netherlands with the Arkana in the second half of next year. The crossover was already available in Russia, but is now also coming to Europe in an upgraded form. A hybrid powertrain is possible thanks to a new platform.
The technology shares the Arkana, a cross between a coupé and an SUV, with the Clio E-Tech. This means that a 1.6-liter petrol engine works together with an electric motor, which together provide a system power of 140 hp.
The Arkana is 4.57 meters long, 1.57 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.72 meters. That makes the car 12 centimeters longer than the Renault Kadjar. Thanks to hybrid technology, the luggage compartment measures not 513 liters but 438 liters.
Renault will only supply the Arkana in the Netherlands in the so-called R.S.-line version, which means a sportier appearance. Prices of the new model are not yet known.
