Utrecht Central Station is currently being evacuated. Police report that “a person on a train made troubling statements.” An arrest team then raided the train in question. Photos circulating on social media show heavily armed agents.
Train traffic is currently not possible to and from the station. Trains that were on their way to Utrecht Central Station will stop at another station, says a spokesman for the Dutch Railways.
‘Suspicious situation’
They previously wrote on Twitter that there is a bomb threat, but that message was later withdrawn.
The police report that there is a suspicious situation and that they are looking for a person on the train.
