“Vivianne Miedema is doing well, but she was not fit enough to play an entire match”, national coach Sarina Wiegman said.
Miedema, who played the entire game against Estonia (7-0 win), is replaced in the striker by Lineth Beerensteyn. The player of Bayern Munich started last Friday as a right back.
Beerensteyn’s place against Kosovo is taken by Lynn Wilms. The FC Twente defender came on the field fifteen minutes before time against Estonia.
Furthermore, Wiegman is not making any changes to its position. That means that Katja Snoeijs starts again on the right flank. Shanice van de Sanden, who was missing on Friday due to private circumstances, is sitting on the couch.
Orange women are already certain of European Championship participation
Sari van Veenendaal and Jill Roord are missing, just like against Estonia, due to injuries. Van Veenendaal is again replaced under the bar by Lize Kop and Sherida Spitse is Roord’s replacement in midfield.
Thanks to the victory over Estonia, the Orange women assured themselves of participation in the European Championship, which will be held in England in the summer of 2022. Kosovo is number four in the group and in theory can still qualify for the final tournament.
The game between Kosovo and the Netherlands starts on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Pristina.
