Night after Love Island final ended in drama for Joan and Mert

Joan and Mert had great hopes for their first night together without cameras. But that night ended in disappointment. In “Love Check-up” the winners of “Love Island” tell their story.

The love birds tell presenter Rijk Hofman that they did not expect to win. “We knew we were a strong couple, because we were often chosen as favorites by the viewer. But that we were really going to win? Of course you don’t expect that,” said Joan.

For Mert, winning the program is not in winning the 25,000 euro jackpot, but in his feelings for Joan. “When I came back from Casa Amor and I saw Joan… then my feeling already said: I have won. Especially because for the first time in my life I really managed to develop a feeling.”

The lovebirds had high hopes for their first night without cameras. But that night in the hotel went very differently than expected …

Curious about what happened in the hotel room? Joan and Mert tell it in the new Love Check-up.

Love Check-up is made possible in part by VuurkorfGigant and Kunstgras.
