After much uncertainty, the hairdressers had to close earlier this year, slightly later than the catering industry, to prevent further spread of the corona virus. That was initially until April 6, but the doors were ultimately closed for over a month longer.
Like other industries, the hairdressers had to draw up a protocol to get permission to reopen. “This stipulates, among other things, that customers are asked at the door whether they have complaints, that work is only done by appointment and there is a maximum to the number of people who may be in the business at the same time in connection with keeping distance”, Eussen says. in memory.
The wearing of mouth masks by staff or customers was not included. “We put that question to the RIVM and they thought it was unnecessary.” Many hairdressers did, especially in the beginning. “But many have also stopped because it requires something of you,” Eussen says.
ANKO also has no signals that hairdressers are spreaders of the corona virus. “In any case, we follow the guidelines of the RIVM, even if they change. We live in an unpredictable time, so who knows. We will in any case do everything we can to remain open in a safe way.”
