Former football player Anouk Hoogendijk gave birth to her first child. Her son, Sonny Otto Verhoeven, was born on Sunday morning at 4.14 am, she reports on Instagram on Monday.

Former football player Anouk Hoogendijk gave birth to her first child. Her son, Sonny Otto Verhoeven, was born on Sunday morning at 4.14 am, she reports on Instagram on Monday.

“Dear, beautiful, beautiful Sonny; yesterday morning at 4.14 am you made us the happiest people on earth”, writes 35-year-old Hoogendijk with a photo of Hoogendijk’s newborn baby and her friend Pieter Verhoeven.

“What was wrong with the delivery, but how quickly I forgot that when you were in my arms”, she continues. “You are the most beautiful thing we have ever seen.”

During her football career Hoogendijk played for FC Utrecht and Ajax, among others. In 2017 she announced she would no longer play for the Dutch national team.
