Dervisoglu wants to make playing minutes at a new position

Halil Dervisoglu made the switch from Sparta Rotterdam to Brentford, England, in the Championship last season. It was not yet a happy marriage between Brentford and Dervisoglu. The attacker barely got any minutes and so he decided to play at FC Twente on a rental basis.

We know Dervisoglu from his time at Sparta mainly as a striker. But at Twente they have a different position in mind for him. Namely at ‘ten’, behind the rush hour.

No return to the Castle

Dervisoglu is embarking on a new adventure at FC Twente, but at his old club Sparta, they would have loved to see Dervisoglu return to Het Kasteel. Sparta was interested, but it did not come to a transfer to Rotterdam, Dervisoglu explains. (FOX Sports)
