Memphis Depay leaves for FC Barcelona. The 26-year-old footballer leaves the French club Olympique Lyonnais to play for Ronald Koeman’s team.
That writes De Telegraaf. There had been rumors for a long time that Depay would switch to FC Barcelona.
The attacker would have previously reached a personal agreement with the club, but there was no definitive transfer yet.
According to the newspaper, the Catalan football club will initially pay 25 million euros for Depay. After this season, another 5 million will be added, plus any bonuses.
Ronald Koeman
Due to the transfer, Depay is reunited with coach Ronald Koeman. Under his leadership, the footballer grew into an important player in the Dutch national team.
Georginio Wijnaldum is also still on FC Barcelona’s radar. Koeman’s club would be negotiating with his agents.
