The Ministry of the Interior and the trade unions have agreed on a new collective labor agreement. The 120,000 civil servants receive an extra 0.7 percent wage, a one-off payment of 225 euros and the civil servants who work from home receive a one-off compensation for the period from mid-March to the end of the year.
The ministry announced this on Monday. The home work allowance is paid from the money that is not spent on travel expenses.
“Employer and trade unions want to explore together how civil servants can work at home and in the office after the crisis,” the ministry adds.
This concerns the collective labor agreement for the second half of this year, about which discussions previously stalled. A spokesman for the CNV union says that the collective labor agreement has a short term due to the uncertainties surrounding corona. “After January 1, we will continue to look.”
CNV Overheid submits the negotiation result to the members with positive advice.
