One of the residents was killed last night by a fire in a house in Wedde, Groningen. The family’s father was taken to hospital seriously injured last night. Today at the end of the afternoon a body was found in the house.
Earlier, the fire brigade had already announced that the daughter of the family was still missing. Due to the intensity of the fire, the firefighters were unable to enter the house for a long time.
Two other residents were able to get out safely.
The fire broke out last night around 3 a.m. in a semi-detached house. Because there were still people in the house, the emergency services were big. The fire threatened to spread to the neighboring house, but the fire brigade was able to prevent that.
Badly damaged house
The fire brigade had the fire under control around 5:30 am. One of the two houses was badly damaged by the fire. The house next door suffered smoke and water damage.
