The 26-year-old woman who died Wednesday morning in a house on Suze Groeneweglaan in Amstelveen, may have been killed by a crime. Her partner has been arrested.
A spokesman for the police reported this on Saturday afternoon. It was announced earlier that there was no crime.
The police will now come back to that. “Based on the further investigation, a new suspicion arose against the man and therefore he was arrested again on Friday evening,” the spokesman said. “He is now on suspicion of attempted manslaughter committed just hours before the woman’s death.”
The police received a report on Wednesday morning at around 4.45 that something was wrong with the woman. When officers were on the scene, the woman was resuscitated, but to no avail. She died in the house.
