A fifteen year old child seriously injured. The victim was found under the rubble of a collapsed building. Initially it was reported that the child had been killed, but the teen is in critical condition in the hospital.

The epicenter of the quake was north of Zagreb at a depth of 10 kilometers. The quake had a magnitude of 5.3.

Several historic buildings have been damaged, leaving many people took to their house and left the road. On images shows that debris cars are pulverized.

The iconic Cathedral of Zagreb is also badly damaged. One of the two towers is partially collapsed. After an earthquake in 1880 the cathedral was rebuilt once.

Because of the coronavirus in Zagreb applies a partial lock-down. People are considered public places like parks and squares to avoid. However, residents who fled their homes had no choice but to gather in such places, Euronews writes.

“Try to keep away,” said Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic. “We now have two serious crises.”
