In many places outside Amsterdam on this sunny Ascension very busy. At various parks and beaches were even so many people that everyone was ousted.

Marine Land had prepared for the influx of holidaymakers. Fences and gates were installed and there were hosts. At Park Somer Lust was not the first time that enforcement officers have intervened. Just two weeks ago, hundreds of people were turned away.
In the Vondelpark, the two main entrances are only open, says a church spokesman. There people are only allowed to park in when someone leaves.
To ensure that it is not too busy in the Westerpark, the municipality has applied markings to remind visitors to the 1.5 meter rule.
The municipality has an online map that shows the locations where it is busy. “But that card is not real,” warns a church spokesman.
